This is a discussion and response to “Global 100% energy transition by 2050: A fiction in developing economies?” authored Anthony Afful-Dadzie published Joule 5 (2021) 1634–1643. The preview has raised concerns around the feasibility of transitions towards renewable sustainable technologies economies, after examining article Bogdanov et al. (2021). Although, author rightly pointed out disparity recent growth across developed countries world, along with highlighting pertinent issue ‘availability finance’ for countries, fails contextualise financing transitions, particular trivialised complex cumbersome cost optimal modelling vague unscientific illustrations.
